Action required: Please change your API calls to HTTPS for security reasons
#1
Hi,

I get this email today by MailerlIte.com

Dear partner,

We're writing because we care about the security of your account and your client's accounts.

You're an API user and it looks like you're using MailerLite API base URLs without HTTPS (more information here). All API requests should start with HTTPS.

We strongly recommend you to switch to HTTPS in your API calls to be better secured and guarantee that your integrations work correctly.

Furthermore, if you're using our API Version 1, which is old and outdated, we suggest you to use Version 2 instead.

Why?

If you use HTTP protocol, all exchanged data can be read and modified by third parties such as hackers, ISPs and network administrators. By changing to HTTPS, your data will be encrypted and thus can't be read or modified.

When?

Starting June 21st, 2020, there might be some interferences in your API calls if you continue using HTTP in your code.

To do

This change is easy! In the program you're using, review your API calls and change your code, where necessary, to HTTPS. Examples can be found here.
